New 3-series blasting competition

Where are the sales number for new IS.

Sales of the 3 shows us that it is a great car,and no doubt it is well built and stylish than most of it's competitors.

But we should wait for IS that how it performs both in sales and in person.

I think it will sell more than 3 series because it's parent company is master in selling cars.And also they deserve the sales and profits.

The new 3 absolutly deserves the sales.

Who's to say it doesnt. Its been the best for years and years.

Its the best all around package in the whole segment.

Yes, others offer more hp, gadgets, value etc.

But the point is... BMW continues to OWN this segment.

Saying a car doesnt "deserve" sales is a cop-out.

A cop-out for admitting that you guys are just plain angry that the new 3 is so good.

This car continues to set the standard that ALL OTHERS follow.

Dont be jealous that some people are smart enough to see that.

I am so sick of people saying BMWS are unreliable.

I'm on my fourth BMW. My whole family owns BMWS.

LISTEN UP.

NO PROBLEMS. EVER.

Still as solid and reliable as the day of purchase.

No electronic glitches, no rattles, engine as trusting as they come.

Basically, to me, just as reliable as a Lexus.

I'm sure some BMWs have had bad reliabilty, but not any of mine.

And definetly not anything comes close to the problems I had with my Audi A6 and Mercedes E-class. Those cars were the worst I've ever owned. PROBLEM after PROBLEM.

I foolishy bought another Audi (S4) only to get rid of it after the quattro system failed in the snow and was in the shop for 6 weeks. After only 2,000 miles. Never another Audi again.

So BMWS seem like a dream to me after having those junkers.

Of the Germans, theyre the most reliable (other than Porsche)

The reason my BMW's have never had problems is because of their stellar reliability.

I can drive my cars hard and they can handle the abuse.

I lease my cars on a 1-2-3 year basis.

I dont live in a small town. And I dont know of a "corner store" in my city.

I could care less what you think of my blogs.

I speak from experience. You are just biased.

Your anger over BMW only enforces why they are the best.

Doubt my car ownership all you want. Typical when someone has nothing else to moan about.

If you re-read your posts, you always resort to claiming that one does not own a said car.

It sounds like someone is real mad that they dont have a BMW.

I'm so sorry you cant afford a german car. WORK HARDER.

But being jealous isnt really classy.

Sales of the new 3-series are very good. Total sales suffered a little in Aug/Sept because they didn't have any AWD models left - xi E90s only started coming in October.

Sales of the Lexus IS are targeted at 45000 annually in the US. That's less than half of 3-series US sales. Worldwide the difference is more dramatic: 90000 vs 500000.

Lexus IS and Infiniti G are good, strong competitors to the 3-series, yet the Bimmer still commands a price premium. While many would say they are better values, it acually means they are still a notch below BMW at least in perception.

Whether you like it or not, whether it is fully deserved or not, BMW has managed to keep the 3-series at the top of the segment with the latest redesign. No small feat.

Just facts, in Sept 04 about 20% of E46 sedans sold were AWD. In Sept 05 there were virtually no AWD sales. Considerable increases in E90 RWD sedan sales almost compensated for that. The news will get even better with the availabily of the AWD models.

Whether you like it or not, the E90 is a great success!

Not for some but more many.I think Not a single person has a MAJOR Detest or hatred against it's style,looks,passion,performance...etc
And even it's sales shows us that how much people love it.

But some one like me who is a real CARMAN and totally professional in the Car World would definately come out with 1 or 2 negatives even against the perfect car in the world.

For this car there r not many,but little negatives as:

1) A standard 3 series has less options as many options r optional if we compare it with IS,G35,A4...etc
2)Some one will even complain about it's complex i drive System Whcih is not further modified or updated for easy accessing.
3)Rear is beautiful but The Rear lights r not much attracting and intresting.

But 3 Seris is definatley still ahead of it's competitors.

October sales of BMW 3-series increased 23% to about 10700 units. A full 84% of them are E90s, including about 1900 AWD models.

It's good to be right! :)
