Audi R8 Spider coming in 2010

According to officials of the carmaker Audi the highly awaited R8 convertible is forthcoming, but not earlier than 2010. The R8 prototypes seen testing last year was observed with a full convertible top, an element that U.S. designers chose over a less complex targa configuration.

One of the carmaker’s official said that they fought for a full convertible rather than a smaller targa roof. With the extended time frame, the company will be enabled to allow for more time between the launch of the convertible and the R8 5.2 FSI Quattro which is powered by a potent V10 engine.

The image looks awesome. Great news. I talked to my sales guy at my local Audi dealer. I may be trading in my V8 R8 for the new V10!. In doing so I am also letting go of my LS. Summer's around the corner it's time for me to hop on a duc again.
