Of course this was coming. The new A4 has grown in size, and while the base model with quattro is well equipped and still decent value at $35K, it's getting pricey. There's no question that there's now room for a smaller sedan model at a lower price point in the US. Kind of like the original A4. I would not be surprised to see a sedan version of the next 1-Series either.
