The rear storage area looks tiny and where are the photos of the back seat?

DUD: I feel these "sport activity coupes" are answers to questions nobody is asking. The RDX looks like a bloated, slightly jacked up hatchback. The nose and beak are especially atrocious. This car/coupe/suv thing looked better in shadows of the teaser pics.

LACMANLACMAN - 4/8/2009 2:37:46 PM

Exactly. If you look at the teasers again, the rear lights look as if they are "finished". Maybe they look better on the production model but this here is a hot mess.

I would have thought by looking at the exterior, the interior (dash/layout/etc) would have been floating or something. This interior looks like everything else new from Acura.

DUD. Like every other Acura that's come out in the past few years.

Yet, all Acura's have nice interiors and this is no exception.

The interior is OK, but it's nothing new.

Looks like a plastic Panasonic all in one 5.1 home stereo.

Love the interior too.

X6 is nice. This is just a little bit too strange. (IMO)

These designs are really getting crazy! I bet the next iteration of the "SUV-Coupe/SAC" (or whatever this category is called) will have absolutely no back end at all.

43LE, so you admit that it's a ripoff, (just like your name).

Yes, I'll admit the ZDX is a ripoff, and yes my name is inspired by EL34. But really, the name is a long time joke here on autospies, I can't go without it. I'm really mocking a blind racist fanboy named EL34. I don't like the X6, neither do I like this Acura. At least I can admit that, unlike some fanboys. I like cars, no matter where they are made, can you say the same thing?

I don't think Acura ZDX looks bad, i find it unique and stylish. 300BHP+ Honda 6 cylinder and SH-AWD with these styling will be a good package and a strong competitor of FX35. Stud.

As much as I want to hate it... its not bad. I really like the headlights. The grille/shield doesn't seem so big since its on a bigger car. Nice interior too. But I can't call it a STUD, still need some performance numbers first, looks alone won't do it.

I think its better than the X6 in style. The point is, this could be as ugly as Nancy Pelosi and still Agent 001 actions are questionable for posting too early. Remove all the static around the look of the vehicle, rather Acura is in trouble about their designs, all that sideline issues. Why didn't anyone else get in trouble for taking pictures? Why didn't anyone else post images? Questions run through my head is not so much as if he was being pick on as it is made out to be, but exactly why is Acura having such a fit? No one is asking the right questions. It takes a bigger man to admit you are wrong, and rarely does that happen today.

wow my first impressions were some stuffed a load of McDonalds into the TL. Seriously it looks like an obese TL. God i can't tell you how much I hate that point front bumper thing and they have to do it to the back too??? this is just hideous..my god is it ugly..yea i think you catch my drift

This is an AMC Eagle for 2009. Who is there target market for this? This car appeals to NO ONE.

Not impressed with the exterior, but the interior is not to bad looking. Much uglier vehicle than I anticipated overall. The BMW X6 is a much better.

Acura is aiming at the wrong market. I think for a car like this to be successful, the manufacturer needs to be considered " hip " or youthful which is something BMW does perfectly. Acura on the other hand, is having a hard time trying to sell their main sedans and yet they offer a new car for a niche market!

The car doesn't look that bad, and the side reminds me alot of the 370Z. The interior looks nice too.

We could argue about the merits of adding another product to this segment, but I think a lot of people posting here must be making knee jerk reactions if they think this is ugly. It's like everyone was loaded up to trash it before we even saw it because of the bad moves lately by Acura. All the classic one-liners are spewing out on the postings.

Take deep breath and look again. This is a good clean design IMO. Dimensions are balanced. It has a good stance and wide track. You want to talk ugly, look at the FX. Even the x6 is uglier then this. The x6 and FX are just too goofy looking for a guy to buy it. It's not cute enough for girls to buy. This however seems to strike a better balance in style and function. I think it will appeal to a larger group and has potential to lead this small segment

Funny, looking at the latest NY debuts it seem that Jeep got it right and Acura got it very, very, wrong.
