Rumor: Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Coupe not coming
It is true! The German manufacturer will not produce the vehicle we all waited: Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Coupe. Why? Well, according to an insider, Mercedes-Benz decided that the vehicle will not come because it is very hard to position and price the car and this would be too close to the CLS63 AMG. We have a good news though: the source confirmed the fact that Mercedes-Benz is currently working on the successor of the CLS63 AMG.

The E63 AMG Coupe would not compete with the IS-F or the M3 so I don't know what you are talking about. Get your mind off the over priced tacky IS-F with fake stacked tail pipes.

david696: you are a troll. The IS-F would have nothing on this E63 AMG Coupe. 1st it's not a coupe. 2nd, Lexus doesn't know how to make proper coupes. 3rd, the IS-F is the most uncomfortable place to be.

Please drive an IS-F "then get back to me".

You're a joke wasting your life away posing as someone else and stirring up flame wars. The only car you have probably driven was your father's Corolla. Not a horrible car but it's no where near the IS-F. Even then the IS-F isn't all that great of a car styling or comfort wise. It takes 10 minutes of cruising to figure that one out. Test drive one then get back to me.

So you're telling us a 1,200-horsepower Supra is reliable just because it is a Toyota? Bullshit.

1,200-horsepower is enormous stress on the engine and its components. Wear and tear, sound familiar? Formula One engines last an average of what, 500 kilometers? Why do you think the resale value of cars like a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution or Subaru WRX STI is low? The more horsepower per liter, the more wear and tear on the engine and the more repair / maintenance will be needed to fix the problem.

Give us all a break with your incredibly biased Toyota lovin'...

BMW took care of the 335 turbo issue within a few months after the debut of the inline 6 TT, and I haven't seen much in the way of turbo complaints since.

Does he need to drive an F1 car too so that he knows they are unreliable?

This is a tragedy... It would have been another great car from the boys at AMG!

Um, did I miss something: E-Class Coupe = 2 doors, CLS "Coupe" = 4 doors.... or do they plan on coming out with a true two door CLS coupe?

Problem is, the car is leaning towards appealing the future generation of people anyways. It is obvious that in a few years they would redefine the word coupe and the generation of that time will accept it.

david969: Dear David: I own 1 Merc, One Cadillac and One Honda, The reason because I take the benz when I will use high speed for a long period is becasue the Honda is a fuel econmy winner against the cady or benz but in high speed, as most of japanese cars, It will break down. If you go to Germany Most of high speed cars are MB, AUDI, BMW, or italian exotic cars...But not Lexus or Infiniti. I will accept the reliability of the japanese is very high, but when demmand maximun stress on the engine, by expirience, I´ll go German; Japanese are clossing the gap but in this field they still need to improve. It won´t matter if you disagree, this is a fact.

I came to this thread to read something about mb. Everything seems ok till I finally start reading comments because I wanted to read some intelligent comments from car enthusiast. And look, david969 spoiled it with very first comment. I am asking myself is it just too impossible to ban such idiots?

I think it's impossible that E63 coupe is not coming since AMG built a R63 and ML63 !
