While Hyundai is still debating whether or not to bring the Equus over the stateside, the Korean automaker is heavily advertising its full-size luxury sedan in its hometown. Hyundai as released a batch of commercials featuring music from Herbert von Karajan, an Austrian orchestra conductor and one of the most renowned 20th-century conductors.

Refresher: The 2010 Hyundai Equus is offered in Korea with two powertrain choices including a 290-hp Lambda 3.8L V6 and a 366-hp Tau 4.6L V8. Pricing ranges from 63.7 Mln Korean won ($42,410 USD) to 105 Mln ($70,234 USD).

Those commercials are quite convincing. If Hyundai wanted to I think they could easily leap-frog Acura as a premium/luxury brand here in the states.

Aren't they going to have to start of premium brand label to sell this in the states. Nobody is going to buy a 70,000 Hyundai in the U.S.
