AUTO SPIES EXCLUSIVE: Ferrari 600 Imola: Spy Pictures & and an Illustration!

The replacement for the aging 575M Maranello has been spotted under camouflage and making test runs the last two weeks. Codenamed F139, the new car will likely be called 600 Imola.

Designed by Pininfarina and sitting on a shortened Ferrari 612 Scaglietti platform, the new 600 Imola will be larger and roomier than the car it replaces.

Sources are telling us that it will be powered by a 6.0-liter V12, with at least 580-horsepower?

Expect the official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next March.

Although it will be a good replacement for Aging 575M Maranello but if it turned out to be 6.0 V12 with 580+HP, than it will no longer be less than 612 Scaglietti which produces 540 HP.

It will be difficult for Ferrari to organize or give 600 imola a place in their line-up,when their is already a similar car available (612).

So i think Ferrari will definately do something to this car to prevent it's reach from 612.

AS i think Ferrari will also increase or update/modify the Handsome 612 and bring it's engine to 6.5 litre and 600 HP.

But all in all 600 imola is looking hot and will be a great hit like F430.

Comparing a Ferrari to a Corvette is laughable.

Sure, they may be similiar in performance, but a Ferrari is in a higher league than any top-of-the-range GM product. FACT.

I won't bore you with why, but I'm sure all the car-educated people on this site can figure it out for themselves.

this car is basically a coupe version of the 612, with some body redesign, with a new engine. so basically, a new car. if the car ended up looking like the concept pic, i would regain some of my respect for ferrari that i lost with the f430. after seeing what they did to it and how they ruined it, i would need something fresh and nice to not completely give up on ferrari. at this point im already more focused on the CCR and the Veyron. i used to be a huge ferrari fan. but the enzo, the 612 and the f430 just wrecked everything they had been working on so hard to achieve.

o and the corvette vs. ferrari battle. yes some stock corvettes can kill stock ferraris and some tuned corvettes can kill stock ferraris but if you take gm's top of the line car, the C6 Z06, and put it up against ferrari's top of the line, the enzo, the enzo would win the race, but the z06 would still look nicer. and top of the line european cars kill top of the line american or japanese cars. and dont even start about tuning the cars. I AM TALKING ABOUT BONE STOCK.

and no, the 600 will not look like the covered up black car in the series of 4 photos. this is done so that no1 can actually tell what the car will look like until it is released.
