Flash Interface system to be standard fit on new Jaguar

Alpine’s first production application of Macromedia Flash provides the infotainment interface for Jaguar’s new XK sports car. Alpine’s first ever application of Macromedia Flash, the graphics system that powers multimedia presentations, will make its production debut on the firm’s touch screen for the Jaguar XK. Audio, navigation, climate control, telephone and vehicle settings can all be adjusted from a single screen, with graphics "reminiscent of a quality website".

Jaguar is caught between its traditional design lines (make the cars look old and targeted for the "older' crowd) and ultra modern ones, which by the way only discredits Jaguar due to the uncanny similarity to a brand called Aston Martin.

I suggest that Jaguar stays close to its "old" design lines but mix it up with modern features.

My 2 cents.
