Spy Video: 2010 Audi RS5 Hits the Nurburgring

Maybe you've seen pictures of the 2010 Audi RS5 before. The prototypes were caught roaming around the California desert in varying degrees of camouflage last summer. But other than indicating that the program was indeed proceeding, the cobbled-together test mules didn't expose any details.

Now the RS5 is undergoing high-speed testing on the Nurburgring, and the prototypes look a little more finished. Our spy video also gives us our first chance to hear the high-performance coupe, and it delivers a good hint at what's under the hood

audi should think about changing the wheel package for this to a deep-dish version of the s5 wheels so you can atleast differentiate the 2 models....other than that I like the S5 and I am sure the RS5 is not going to fall short of the S5 I would buy one definitley...BUT...after I pick up an BMW M3 of course got stay true to my BMW's first.....I think Audi did a good job with this coupe this is one of the 2 cars I like by Audi besides the S6.

well the RS6 is not coming to the US so I cant say that i dont like it but if it isnt in this country and i cant drive it then I really cant comment on it. I do like the R8 but its pretty much a carbon copy of the Lamborghini Gallardo so I have mixed feelings about that car. it really wasnt built from the ground up except for maybe the engine but its nice for what it is.

So how do you explain the fact that the R8 is bigger than the Gallardo? How do you explain the interiors being different? How do you explain the hate for anything Audi?

nah see you gettin it twisted I am not hatin on Audi I actually like CERTAIN Audis that I would buy compared to all other BMW fans on this site......Now you goin to tell me if audi didnt own Lambo that they would have thought to make something like the R8 hMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM cant
ponder on that too long. I have already compared the interiors and the rest of the car and the R8 in MY OPINION is a cheap version of the Gallardo and theres nothing that can change my mind about it. Granted the R8 is a hot car but dont say that its not borrowing anything from the Gallardo...and for me what put it over the edge is the R8 10 cyl model and the convertible. You goin to tell me thats not the same exact 10 cyl from the Gallardo. the convertibles even though the R8 version isnt out yet they look i dentical from the back. now i wouldnt be suprised in a few years if they come out with a car that is similar to the murcielago

Hmm. Doesn't Audi OWN Lambo B7Fan? Also, Audi developed the engine that Lambo uses not to mention almost everything in it. So, if Audi chooses to use Lambo for its benefit, why not? They bought them, fixed them, transferred technology, and last time I checked the Gallardo is built in Audi plants and only the finishing touches are added by Lambo in Italy. It cracks me up how all the Audi haters try to belittle Audi by assuming somehow Lambo has a higher level of technology, etc than Audi. Seriously, I've got some swamp land for sale if you want it since you Audi haters are so delusional.

Well said Viso. BTW, it's funny that B7fan refers to the Alpina B7 which is one of the most useless POG out there but at the same time B7 in Audi language means something else. Ah the irony.
