The new 2010 Ford Fiesta is lighter, faster and more efficient than its predecessor and looks much better than the previous models. We almost want to say that the new Fiesta is the Mondeo for those looking at an entry-level Ford. At this point you can say that Fiesta has scared the heck out of its rivals and is the best car in it class… yada yada yada… but look a little closer and you’ll see their is more to the Fiesta than just a good-looking subcompact car...

I hope they come out with a sport version that has more power that 0-60 in 10 seconds will just not do

Vast majority of diesels sold in the EU are either some 1.6 ~90HP in small cars or 2.0 ~140HP in midsize cars. All those do 0-60 in the 10-11 sec. range.

The first decent thing Ford has come out with! Now if they would only bring more of their other european models over here....cars with better handling, performance, fuel economy and cool styling! Sad that it's taken an economic crisis to waken them up and finally bring to the north american market what people really want. Hopefully they won't 'dumb' them down for the north american driver. Finally we might get rid of the dull 'librarian' model focus for it's racier european counterpart.

no worries on safety - it got top marks in the EuroNCAP tests.
