SHANGHAI MOTOR SHOW: 2010 Volkswagen Passat New Lingyu
At the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled its Passat New Lingyu, a luxurious B-Class flagship model with design influenced by the Passat series.

Fitting the needs of the Chinese markets, thew Passat New Lingyu sits on a 2,803mm long-wheelbase allowing for a spacious interior and roomy area for the rear seats.

Powertrain lineup for the Passat New Lingyu includes an improved 1.8L engine with output increased from 150 to 163-hp A 2.4L engine is also available. Fuel-economy has been reduced to 6.2L/100km (38 mpg), down 15 percent.

VW has been in China longer than any other manufacturer. This model looks like a huge leap from the VW Santana days.
