New 2010 Jaguar XJ Not Coming to US market with Diesel Engine
There is one thing for sure, the current generation XJ needs a replacement. Luckily Jag is in the works with one as you can see from this new teaser image of the new 2010 Jaguar XJ which was released today by the Jaguar media department.

You ask what of this image? What exactly is going on with this new cat from Jag? Well for one thing it is going to have styling influences from it's brother car the Jaguar XF which means that finally the Jaguar XJ is going to have a chance to stand out from its competitors styling wise. In a recent encounter with a current model XJ a person I was with mistook the current XJ for a Lincoln. This won't happen for sure with this new XJ.

And why not, pray tell? Are Europeans envious of US gas prices and thus denying North Americans the thrift they themselves value? The first maker of classy yet sexy cars that offers a turbodiesel option in the luxury segment will make experience an economic upturn. Mercedes' E-Class diesel, though good, is too much of a nerdy stuffed shirt to appeal to Jaguar buyers, Vdub's entirely serviceable Jetta TDI is too much of an econobox, and though fortunately a diesel Bentley's in the works, it will be well out of reach of even the generally affluent. A kingdom for a car company with the vision to give us passion and fuel efficiency at @50K!
