Is the new E-coupe up for the performance game? Or is it just plain sexy...

Unwilling to take the CLK into a third generation, Mercedes has replaced its hugely successful two-door with this car, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. And because it's based upon the recently introduced launched E-Class sedan, it moves this model into a rather more exclusive part of the coupe market where it will line up against a production version of the Audi A7 concept shown earlier this year as well as next year's all-new BMW 6 Series.

The SC300/400 was an SL wannabee plain and simple. Anyone who doesn't see it really needs to get their eyes checked. With that said, I thought it was the best coupe to have the Lexus badge, hands down.

Lexus has nothing to compete with the SL or the new E-Class coupe so don't even bring up old news LOL.

I would agree that the SC430 hardtop convertible is an SL wannabe, but the original SC coupe was a design all its own.

No, you need to get your life checked. Thats all.

Not as sexy as it could have been, in my opinion. Still, a much more attractive and masculine-looking car than the CLK. I also wish they had made the windows completely pillarless. That little vent window annoys me.

I was thinking the same thing until I read that the back windows roll down. If you look at the window from the side it looks as if the it wouldnt have been able to clear the rear wheel had it remained one piece. Idk, this is just my guess. I see no other valid reason as to why they interupted the design with that little eyesore.

Even Lexus accepts the SC430 isnt their best product and there were rumors of Lexus stopping the production of the same from 2011.. I would say E-coupe is not as bad as the SC430 - and here I am not talking about reliability - I am just talking about the styling, space and utility!

By the looks of it...they should have made it a 4-door.

Next CLS will look like this with four doors. (IMO)
