BMW X5 M spotted in Landshut, Germany
Shortly after the official launch at the Shanghai Auto Show and we have the first photos of the BMW X5 M spotted on the streets somewhere in Germany.

Beside the impressive road presence, the spied X5 M becomes even more interesting since it is the first time we see the final product in a different color from the one marketed by BMW in the official photos.

I can do w/o the front fascia to much DTM going on there not too classy. BMW needs to start to look into deep dish wheels on their M products. I think it would have a better presense on the cars and trucks. I think I can do without this even though the public has been asking for it.

I'll take the ML63 AMG

I have a 2003 4.6is in the same silver, and if this is truly a stock BMW "M X5", I regret (for BMW's sake) that this model looks comparatively cheap and cheesy.

Agree with above poster on the way-oversize front air intake. The lower-body trim in general looks aftermarket-plasticky. And the trademark oval exhausts on the ultimate X5s...now gone.

Finally, the wheel design looks weak...the spokes are too thin to visually support this vehicle. In my opinion, the thick, tapering spokes of the 4.6is were the best looking X5 wheel, followed by the Y-spokes you see currently.

We need to bring back Chris Bangle! It looks too aftermarket-ish, unlike the M3. The X5 itself looks rather timeless, but this M version makes it look like the previous generation and will probably age just as fast (I understand that Bangle also contributed greatly to the first-gen X5).

I predict a quick update to that Bodykit. Just Horrible.

Its a remarkable performer but would have a hard time dropping $90k plus for this over the next M5 which is expected to be pretty spectacular if this X5 is mid 4's to 60mph

My perfect winter car.

Looks are entirely subjective, but there's no denying that there's 555 hp worth of ear-to-ear grins under the hood.

And unlike your typical AMG car, there's a lot of thought put into how the car handles.
