What say YOU? Do you think we’re ready for the Car Scrappage scheme, just announced in the UK Budget from Alistair Darling?

Can this actually work?

This system will def. work.
The one in Germany boosted vehicle sales and so should this.
Big Brother UK cannot be wrong - We need to get this too!

Of course it will work. Its a very generous offer by the government. I think Agent 009 suggested this last November or December in the form of tax cuts for the buyer of a new car to boost car sales. In Europe, parking places are scarce so they need to trade in their 8 year old cars for a new one wherein the old car will be dismantled. In the US, old cars, really old cars, simply go to junkyards to be "slowly" sold for parts.

Britons are one of the most indebted nation in the entire world.

What they need more then is getting even more in debt by stimulating car purchases customers don't need.

UK is sinking in turd. Scrappage will only accelerate this process.

Britain definitely is in a recession right now but the GDP drop has not been as bad as it is here in the US and if Britain is ONE of the most indebted nations in the world, America is THE most indebted nation in the world.
Does not change the fact that Britain is the world's second most powerful nation despite being the size of a US state and yes, I am half of each.
