2010 Hyunai Sonata Interior Caught Unwrapped

2010 Hyunai Sonata Interior Caught Unwrapped

It was yesterday when we have seen some quality spy shots of the 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Those images partly revealed the exterior of the next generation Sonata coupe-sedan.  Since the Sonata’s exterior has been shot extensively by spy photographers, the interior has been kept under wraps and it remained much more elusive.

Here we see the first quality spy shot that gives us a sneak peak preview at the next Sonata interior. The overall styling looks clean and trendy and it seems like it features brand’s new design language that has been implemented to the latest Hyundai offerings.

Whilst not 100% to my taste, this is a brilliantly designed interior with some real style. I still remember the awful Hyundais from the 1980s: that company no longer exists. Hyundai has a come a long, long way.

Does it not remind anyone of the new Malibu's interior?

i see:

Merc ML guages
Volvo like Aircon controls
Lexus RX center vents
Definate Malibu design theme for the dash

and hideous looking cup holders that look just like holes cut out of the plastic

what you mean 'no idea what they are doing?'

they are doing really good - they sell more cars than nissan or honda.

Why lost my time to check about the design of Hyundais is so easy they copying like a giant shake of different brands and there is theirs result. (internalcumshot) said the truth about them I am really tired. And someone said they are working hard in theirs las models cars please....................just copying with no brain.
Just that. Mercedes, BMW,Audi always be the luxury brand all over the world. That's all.

Exactly what I was thinking, in this economy, cheaper will always outsell the better more expensive product!

A chrome shift knob like the original IS
Blue gauges like VW
Why would anyone want the seat controls on the dash?

My 1983 Plymouth Horizon had soft touch material on the dash

Hey, I read somewhere that the Elantra is where it is today b/c of stolen corolla designs from an engineer that moved to hyundai from toyota.

All I'm saying is you seem to think adding soft touch materials is this huge idea and a big deal. I have driven a new Elantra and that would not make me buy one. Just sit in one and close the door and sit in a Mazda 3 and do the same thing. The Mazda feels like it is more solid even with hard plastic on the dash.

The only reason to buy an Elantra over a 3 or Civic in my opinion is price. That is the biggest reason people buy Hyundais and Kias. And with increased fleet sales resale will continue to be lower than most Japanese companies.

The Elantra in the real world(not the love Hyundai world you live in) competes with the Corolla, Civic, 3 , Sentra, etc. Thats the cars buyers cross shop not Saabs. I have worked at a Hyundai/Mazda dealer for the past several years and have never seen a Saab traded in for a Elantra. I have seen a 7series traded in a Genesis which is a good sign for Hyundai. Hyundai has made huge improvements since 2003 when I also worked at a Hyundai dealer.

I didn't answer your first question. Add a performance model and a more stylish exterior would help. But I have had issues with Hyundais in the past so i can't say I'd buy one.
