Scoop! Cadillac Epsilon Sedan Will Slot Below CTS
General Motors CEO and President Fritz Henderson admitted in his reorganization press conference Monday morning that his company doesn't have the money to make Cadillac a competitive luxury brand in Europe. The 4.5L turbodiesel V-8, the 2.9L VM Motori turbodiesel V-6 and the Alpha 3 Series-fighter platform all are on hold, and are unlikely to be revived while GM tries to avoid bankruptcy. The Standard of the World will have to get by with the North American markets and parts of Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, for now.

Im with you. I didnt post this to agree with it, I posted it because I was in COMPLETE shock. This is sad news (if true). So basically, a Cadillac Lacrosse?!?! WTF?

I hope to God this is "speculation". I wish some private investors could buy and save Cadillac from the new GM.

After coming out with the CTs this thing is UGLY. I refuse to believe this will be the car.

That pic is the BLS. What pic are you guys looking at?

Yes. The BLS having been out in Europe for a while now, I am pretty sure that this new model will have fresher styling.

And I personally have no gripes about GM wanting to try and undercut the Lexus ES. Nearly every automaker is trying to nowadays.

But If Cadillac sets its sights on Lexus, what in the ham-sandwich is the point of Buick???

Exactly, this is the Saab-derrived BLS, which is Europe-only.

I bet the new smaller Caddy will be much more like the Converj concept.

And, like it or not, front-drive gets better gas mileage due to lowered frictional losses. Expect to see more of it.

and, expect fewer 8 cylinder cars, too.

It's not Obama, it's oil and national security.
