If You Think Chapter 11 Is Only For GM And Chrysler, Wait Till You See What's Going To Happen To Your Favorite Auto Mags This Year!
Source Interlink Cos., the publisher of Motor Trend, Hot Rod and Street Chopper magazines controlled by billionaire Ron Burkle’s Yucaipa Cos., sought bankruptcy protection as it moves to become a private company.

U.S. magazine advertising revenue in the first quarter fell 20 percent from a year earlier, according to the Publisher’s Information Bureau, an industry group. U.S. auto sales tumbled 37 percent in March. Source Interlink hasn’t reported a profit since the second quarter of 2007.

The Spies have heard from reliable sources that GM owes the major mags multi-millions of dollars in past due ad invoices, so get ready for some 'Future Shock' if the payments aren't made.

wow, deboosted into hell after 001 gives me some love... that's ok... you guys need to go and kiss a girl!

you know none of you would have known that the acura shawd drove like a turd until 001 told you so or that the new SL has an even better suspension than the 6series, or the X6 being a thong dropper!

do you really think motortrend or any of these mags would have told you even an ounce of that truth?

I have sripts to to the big 4. Automobile, Car and Driver, Road and Track & Motor Trend.

After I receive all 4 issues within a week, I realize that I could do without at least 2 of them. They all usually test the same cars and generally have the same outcome. And a lot of the news and spyshots I've seen before, either here or in another one of the mags.

If I had to choose the top 2, they would be Automobile and Car and Driver.

*good thing we have consumer reports not funded by ads, how could we ever buy a car without their reviews? ;)

I couldn't resist b/c I know how "highly" this site's readers value them.

The economy effects everyone but the traditional print mag model will see the brunt of the effects...

Just let BMW bail out Motor Trend. Hasn't BMW been paying Motor Trend kickbacks all these years so their cars can win?
