GM planning new front-wheel-drive Cadillac
GM’s CEO Fritz Henderson has made it pretty clear that the automaker will now focus on four-core brands including Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac - leaving Cadillac as the only top-tier luxury division of the General.

The future is looking pretty bright for Cadillac with a CTS Coupe and Wagon variants on the way. A new Escalade and a production version of the Converj concept are also in the works. They have spent an awful amount of time and money overcoming their past image and it seems that they are taking three steps back. The CTS help user in Caddys new rear drive era and with one swoop they want to destroy all of their progress. The only way this will work is if the car was in the vein of the Mini. This is a shame really.

This is SO depressing. If this news holds any truth, I hope the Cadillac is ONLY offered in AWD. (SMDH)

Don't do it GM! You're already gonna save some coin by dumping Pontiac and hopefully Hummer. Put that money to some good use. Cadillac is one of your half way decent brands.

Firstly, what kind of fuckery site did that jump take me to?!? The moment I closed the window it flooded the Autospies window with no ends of tabs. I had to shut down IE using the Windows Task Manager. Bullshit!

While on the topic of bullshit...I don't see how/why Cadillac needs to get into the front drive market for a vehicle that is clearly about the same size as the much lauded CTS. Are they paying attention to the situation that Lexus has with the ES and the IS? Waste of time and development money. Anyway, as I have said before, like him or not, Bob Lutz was actually helping to keep the individual brands on track. Now that he is on his way back into retirement those geniuses have taken control once again. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

Anyhow, with the death of the V-division of Cadillac and now this....GM has officially been pussified.
