2011 Audi A5 Sportback - Spied
Audi is poised to proliferate its model lineup with a pair of swoopy four-door coupes in the vein of the Mercedes-Benz CLS. The larger of the two, the A7, will be positioned between the A6 and A8 sedans and was previewed in concept form at the 2009 Detroit auto show. But the best look we’ve had so far at the smaller, A4–based A5 Sportback—as differentiated from the true, two-door A5 coupe—has been through a pair of renderings.

This is a really tight squeeze between the A4 and the A6, but I suppose it's the hatch that makes it different than those. but regardless of where it fits, this car looks great, better than either of the other two, and I like the way it looks with the covered C-pillar - more like the A5 Coupe, without that third side window.

Except Audi had the Sportback concept way before BMW showed their 5 Series GT concept.

well its ODD that BMW released concept 5 series gran turismo and this thing which is similar to it (not exact but similar for you audi buffs) drops 3-4 months later I dont know seems a little fishy to me. They both look like A$$ if you ask me. these 4 door hatchbacks are going back to a mazda design from the early 90's which was a 626 hatch back or Saabs idea which they have had since the start of saab.

Because everyone knows that the SUV party is over, victim of fuel prices, national security, and global warming concerns........and people still need to haul stuff, but in a more efficient package

MMmm. I am not too sure about this one. Not butt ugly sure, but not oozing sex like the Rapide or even the CLS in AMG form, in my opinion.
