Need A Good Used Car for Under 10k? Here's Some Suggestions
It took a little digging to find a G35 from a dealer that scoots under our $10,000 price tag, but it was well worth the effort. Infiniti graced this car with Nissan's robust 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 260 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It's the same engine the company plopped in the 350Z to take track abuse at the hands of right-pedal-happy gearheads the world over, and the mill does it with glee. All that toughness translates into carefree ownership for you — a deal made sweeter by the Infiniti's classy interior and rocking factory sound system. Fuel economy leaves a little to be desired at 19 mpg city/26 mpg highway, but, given the kind of horsepower available, we can't complain too much. Expect a solid 5-speed automatic transmission to come with the deal, as well as a fairly cavernous trunk.

Infiniti makes some of the best bang for buck luxury cars on the market right now. One of only a few automakers that include Bluetooth, Satellite radio, full leather, sunroof on every car they make

roundweg is the aperture at the other end of the alimentary canal from his mouth.

if he were talking rather than keyboarding, what you'd be hearing would the emissions therefrom.

You can also get a used 3 Series with 126,600 miles on it that they offered me 6,000 for. To bad it needed Rear Brakes, new Wheel bearings, and burned a half a quart of oil every 2 weeks!! Plus the B fell of the Roundel and I was driving an MW instead of a BMW!!!
Got to love the Germans!! JAWOHL

A Mini Cooper would be perfect, especially now when everyone is downsizing everything. Small, efficient, and still in style. I did not know you could find them under 10 grand. I remember dealer markups on new ones being insane.

just watch out for the failing clutch issues on the manual.

neither would i, if it were a GM, chrysler, vw, or other euro product.

but at 100,000 miles, most japanese cars are just barely broken in. one summer i drove not one, but TWO suburas with over 220,000 miles. they seemed only as worn out as most detroit stuff with about 70 - 80k miles.

I have a 1981 280zx Turbo with 180k miles on it. The car starts on the first try everytime. Does not burn oil at all. (Leaks a little because I was dumb and use synthetic on a 100k+ engine). Other then that the car pulls like it is brand new.

Your are right alot but Hyundai/Kia's reslae value is lower than most cars from Japan. There are 2009 Genesis 4.6s going for $32,000 which is $5000 below msrp which will not help resale and neither will fleet sales. Most Enterprise locations have Hyundais in their fleet at least in Florida.

LOL, OMG, that is hilarious, trying to compare Hyundai/Genesis to Infiniti. Infiniti does battle with BMW. In the real world Genesis competes with Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc.
