Pamela Anderson prefers silicone to leather in her Mercedes

FORMER Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has persuaded car maker Mercedes-Benz to start manufacturing vehicles without leather fittings.

The busty blonde hated the idea of sitting on animal skin so much she demanded it be removed from her new car.

In a letter released by activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) she wrote: "Animals used for their skin suffer from confinement, fear, painful mutilations, deprivation of all that is natural and important to them and cruel treatment during transport and slaughter.

"I want no part of that, but I would like a Mercedes."

Mercedes-Benz informed PETA that future car models will have a leather-free option.

So she says "natural" and "no mutilation" is her belief? She needs to do a little soul searching. Attractive or not, there are some things about her that are not natural and required some definate mutilation to accomplish. Vanity is so clearly one of the most unfortunate traits of humanity. Sorry, Pam, maybe you have persuaded the folks at Mercedes, but you're still a hypocrite and you know it!
