Study: 63% OF Americans Have A Positive Persception Of Ford
There has been a significant improvement in how the American people view FoMoCo ever since the automaker decided not to ask Washington for federal loans. According to an independent study conducted by Aloft Group Inc., 63 percent of U.S. consumers have a “positive perception” of FoMoCo.
The study said that prior to GM and Chrysler asking the government for bridge loans last fall, 41 percent of Americans had a positive perception of Ford.
“Changing consumers’ perception of a brand is typically a slow and uphill process,” said Aloft CEO Matt Bowen “This is very unusual in that this positive brand perception upswing occurred in a relatively short time frame and under intense global scrutiny of the auto industry.”

Now, if they could just make a proper sports car.

I'd argue that the ford GT is a proper sports car, though you probably just meant an affordable sports car that has a proper rear axle.

The mustang, while affordable, has a live rear axle. Making it great for drag racing and not much else.

Unfortunately, Ford is probably going to stick with it's roots and keep the live rear axle as the Mustang is a "jack of all trades" type car. As an average consumer, and a previous Mustang owner, I have to say I can't really see much difference between an SRA and IRS. Sure the SRA sucks on roads that have been destroyed by snow plowing or your typical road bumps. But, I've driven enough IRS equipped vehicles to know that, in all actuality, IRS just sucks less depending on the spring stiffness...IMHO.

You're not going to notice a whole lot of difference between the two unless you're taking highspeed turns and shredded roads everyday.

Ford is doing well with SMART products. The Mustang does need a little help to compete with the Camaro. They need to get the Focus over here now.

I think the Japanese car brands should be killed off and then every American family can be happy with a quality German product like a Volkswagen. They will then understand what a joyful ownership such cars are. Whenever I drive my aunts Eos a smile lights up on my face because I know the car is so German. I have a morbid fear of unreliable American and Japanese junk.

Right...you own a Shelby and you think it's a piece of crap. Sure you do. Do you own your very own blimp, too? Let me guess, Goodyear sold you a lemon? I'm so tired of people pretending to own vehicles so they can bad mouth them. I get people like you on my site all the time.

I admit that FORD is clinging to me. Especially those
Harley-Davidson F-150 editions. Sweet.
