Upcoming Mini Cooper S D/ JCW D to carry Bmw’s 2.0L diesel engine

Few weeks ago we reported that Mini is currently planning a JCW version powered by a diesel-engine and it seems that the things are continuously moving. Our sources confirm the fact that the manufacturer is testing at its Oxford Plant a new vehicle powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine from Bmw. Although we have no details regarding the power and specs of the new vehicle we expect more than 150 hp and new nameplates: Cooper S D and/or JCW D.

I can only imagine how good the MPG will be. I am sure mini can get it somewhere between a Prius and VW Polo but unlike those 2 especially the Prius it has some style.
