Report: Dodge Viper may not survive beyond 2010
Wondering what’s going to happen with Viper now that Chrysler is restructuring under bankruptcy and will eventually be handed over to Fiat? So are we. Well, the folks at Inside Line did some serious digging and found out that the Viper brand may not survive beyond next year.

Chrysler’s documents show that its assets and liabilities are split into two groups - OldCo (old company) and New Chrysler, the company in which Fiat will assume majority stake.

What I'm saying is given the current state of Chrysler maybe they could use their resources for other vehicles. I like the Viper it's in my opinion a great car and I would love to own one but they are not going to save the company with it.

Looks like Mustang, Challenger & Corvette will be the only American sports cars left since Pontiac and now Viper is now dead. I wonder, who will be the next American sports car to fall?

I thought that it had already been planned to sell off the Viper "brand". So not being in the new company is just more support that this will happen.
