Volkswagen Scirocco GT TDI revealed
Volkswagen announced today the new Scirocco GT TDI, a new version of its sporty hatchback which will carry the 2.0-liter TDI engine, found also on the Golf GTD and capable to deliver 170 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm.

The new vehicle can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds while the top speed achieved is 222 km/h. According to the manufacturer, the vehicle will deliver a fuel consumption of 5.3 l/100 km (53.3 mpg) and 139 g.km of CO2. The car is available only with the GT trim level which includes: six-CD autochanger, rain and dusk sensor, multifunction computer and 2 Zone air conditioning. In terms of safety, ABS, ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program) and six airbags are all standard. Also, the new 19-inch ‘Lugano’ alloy wheels are available as an option for the first time.Volkswagen Scirocco GT TDI is priced at 21,755 GBP for the manual and at 23,060.00 for the DSG equipped version.

I wish this car came to the US definitley would hav been interested its a instant VW classic just based off the previous model that came out in the 90's

That would be the 140hp version, this is the 170hp version.

Its not coming.
But the Golf GTD would be interesting here.
My wife's '09 Jetta TDI (with 140 HP & DSG) paints long black lines when the ESP is turned off (disabling traction control).
I can't imagine it with a 170 HP diesel!
