GM says work on Chevy Volt continues despite financial problems
General Motors product development chief Tom Stephens said today that work on the 2011 Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid is progressing as planned despite the company’s financial troubles and the threat of bankruptcy right around the corner.

“At this point in time, I know of no reason why we can’t be in production by November of 2010,” Stephens told reporters.

Its a gamble. The Volt is a draining project that loses money, but what can potentially come out of it may make GM some money, that is, if GM can wait it out that long...

I def agree its a long shot, but they really have nothing else going for them, so its like picking the "best" failed product. Its like which one sucks the least...
