Audi presents 'Trends through the Lens' on A&E

“TRENDS THROUGH THE LENS” ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARY BY AUDI PREMIERING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10, ON A&E NETWORK

Audi of America, Inc. announced today that the premiere broadcast of its original documentary “Trends through the Lens presented by Audi” will air on A&E Network on Thursday, November 10, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Earlier this year, Audi and the American Film Institute’s AFI FEST selected three up-and-coming directors, Kristina Robbins-Higgins, Jonathan Levine, and Shawn Ku, to embark on a cross-country journey to make short films uncovering emerging trends across the United States. The filmmakers and their crews drove all-new Audi A3s as part of the vehicle launch initiative, and they were equipped with cutting edge editing equipment, cameras, and audio gear from Apple, Sony, and Bose, respectively. They had three weeks to shoot footage and three weeks to edit their films. The filmmakers’ resulting works will be featured in “Trends through the Lens presented by Audi.” For more details about the filmmakers’ journeys, visit www.audiusa.com/A3.

The documentary combines the timely, provocative commentary of Daniel Pink, best-selling author of “Free Agent Nation” and “A Whole New Mind,” with the idealistic, often entertaining, quests of these three young filmmakers. Pink is also a contributing editor at Wired and pens the Yahoo! Finance Trend Desk column.

“True to its innovative heritage, Audi constantly seeks to discover ‘what’s next’ and the filmmakers did an outstanding job of revealing trends currently affecting our society,” stated Stephen Berkov, Audi’s Director of Marketing. “We are proud to offer viewers this original content and hope they enjoy the artistic craftsmanship demonstrated by these young talents.”

The airing of “Trends through the Lens” on A&E Network is part of a larger integrated partnership. “This is a great example of two great brands coming together in a natural and mutually supported effort. A&E Network shares in Audi’s pursuit of “what’s next” and is excited to provide this innovative offering to our forward-thinking viewing audience,” said Peter Olsen, SVP National Advertising Sales.
