Lexus LF-A edges closer to production: Spy Shots

The LF-A has been spotted testing on a number of occasions, so it's well past the 'pure concept' stage, but its production future still remains murky at best. The Japanese company's investment in the LF-A at the recent Milan Fashion Week, however, lends credence to the idea that it is in fact going to be built, and this latest prototype features some new elements have never been seen before.

This is the production ready LFA. Note the mirrors and interior door shots. Speculation is that it will go on sale the 3rd quarter of 2010 after being introduced at the Tokyo Auto Show late this fall.

Although I actually hoped for better and expected less...

My baby is finally here! My first, true dream car that I might actually enjoy driving!

Can’t choose… LX 570 or LFA?!?!?! Someone please help me!

If you want speed and handling, go for the LX570. If you want a practical car for the family, go for the LF-A!

With the new Ferrari and other competitors moving to the 550 - 600+bhp, this car is already obsolete.

I thought the revised version had 600 bhp?

"edges closer to production..."

Best Toyota product since the Supra. The car will be very impressive. Id like to see a GTR v. LFA battle and see who comes on top, I am thinking Nissan but possibly Lexus will top the GTR.

I would like to see that battle too. I am putting my money on the GT-R though.

LF-A = Lexus Fans last hope of sports car superiority.

God knows they (lexus) couldn’t do it with the SC430 (lol!), Is300, is350 and the IS-F.

What’s funny is that we have the Lexus Retards already claiming superiority before the car is even released!! Just like they did with the IS300, IS350 and IS-F. The Lexus retards swore up and down that the cars just mentioned will set the benchmark before they were even released. When the cars were actually released and compared against the competition the lexuses were exposed as being non-contenders.

Lexus by far has the worse fans.

They should make sure their IS-C is a success before trying to jump too ahead of themselves with the LF-A. In terms of the king of luxury coupes, the world's more recognized name plate and badge will be the Mercedes SL. Lexus LF-A looks ok and sounds awesome but I can't wrap my head around the price tag. Who would want to pay that much for a Lexus? People who buy Lexus are mostly bargain shoppers. The price difference between Lexus and it's European counterparts (esp. Mercedes) is quite a gap. So to price this LF-A more than an SL is absurd.

@Agent63

What are you on? The SL isn't a supercar, its a SC rival. And why not get a lexus not every body wants euro crap.

"And why not get a lexus?"

1) If you are into performance your money is better off being spent elsewhere.

2) Toyota’s shouldn’t cost as much as a BMW

3) Lexus are overpriced Toyotas complete with parts from the Toyota Parts bin.

4) If you wanted a car that offered great handling BMW would be the wise choice over any lexus.

5) After 7 years the Lexuses look like crap. Body Gaps increase and the body panels start to warp, the bumpers start sagging, and the paint wears off. Just like the other Toyotas.

6) Every 7 Year old Lexus is aesthetically the equivalent of a bad hair-do that hasn’t been washed or combed for months. They just look like crap after a few years
