GM looking to sell Saturn Sky business
GM CEO Fritz Henderson said today that the automaker would be open to sell its Wilmington, Del., plant, which is responsible for manufacturing the Saturn Sky and the Pontiac Solstice. In a move that is similar to what Chrysler is doing with its Dodge Viper business, Henderson said that if a buyer wanted to sell those niche products, it would be open to selling the plant.

“If someone were to approach with a proposal that made good sense for our people, we’d be open to it,” Henderson said.

They are not that great of a car to compare it to a Viper Brand. They were cheap cars with horrible interiors, manual tops that fit badly.

That's why you can make them better...would make a good case for custom cars. Decent body that you can do a whole lot with...for instance the modder who stuffed an LS1 into a Solstice.

Good times. Sometimes makes me wish I had hundreds of millions of dollars...ahahaha

Esp in turbocharged versions, these cars drive amazing and look great. Some of the best GM efforts of late. And reasonably priced too. Their only problems are the frustrating roof and absolute lack of storage. Fix these and you have a decent option to the Miata, or even to the higher end roadsters from Germany.
