Toyota launches large-scale advertising for the 2010 Prius in the U.S.
The advertising style that dealt mostly with the technical side of cars is long gone. What’s really selling right now is a focus on the emotions, abstraction and that elusive something that makes a specific car stands a head higher from others in the fold. This is exactly what Toyota did with the release of the 2010 Prius in the US. They utilized nature schemes with singing flowers and an environmentally focused slogan: Harmony between man, nature and machine.

"They utilized nature schemes with singing flowers and an environmentally focused slogan: Harmony between man, nature and machine." hehehe, this is exactly the target market Toyota is trying to capture. Not educated buyers, but buyers who want a "feel good" "lets save the environment" car.

It's a fact that Hawking is driven around in a BMW. The quietness of the engine and the comfort of the suspension are ideal for him to think of complex mathematical formulas in complete isolation from the outside world. Try doing that in an LS it is impossible because those cars are so boring you would fall asleep. And Bill Gates has several BMW cars which he loves over everything else. That's a fact.

Something wrong with wanting to do something to improve the environment? And more to the point, there are people out there, like myself, who want to do something for the environment AND are well educated buyers. You statement suggests that you either want to save the environment or you are well educated. Not so hombre.
