Audi RS5 Convertible in the works
According to the latest reports, it appears that the new Audi RS5 will be powered by the 4.2-liter V8 engine, same found on the RS4, developing around 450 hp (as we reported back in April). The great news is that the German manufacturer will also bring a convertible version of the RS5, using the same soft-top as all the convertible Audi vehicles, but this will happen at a later date. The coupe version will hit the showrooms in late 2009!

Considering the added weight of the V10 and Audi striving to improve handling, a V8 to me would be the better choice. I'm also hoping that they have shaved off some lbs in additon to more HP & trq than the #'s quoted.

Well yea a completely reengineered +500HP V8 sounds great but since they're already being cheap by using the previous RS4 engine, I thought this would be the least costly way for them

People who want a station wagon? The RS5 is a 2 door coupe! two very different vehicles with little to no overlap.
