hehehe, I can see this motor getting a lot of flack being direct injection, and twin turbo'd and "only" getting 355hp out of a 3.5L v6. Before anyone gets to carried away though let me remind them that this engine still has 350 ft-lbs from 1500-5500 rpm. That is a hella flat and large torque curve.

"V8 power without sacrificing fuel economy..." 17/24 isn't far from V8 economy. The G8 GT gets 15/24, for comparison sake. Let's not get too carried away, Ford.

Hope they'll fit this engine in the V6 stang instead of the underperforming 4.0L

Great job, Ford. No wonder you are not Chrysler or GM.
It sounds like a complex engine (with DI and twin-turbo). Let us hope that Ford can make it reliable. If so, this will be one of the modern engines.
VVT+DI+Twin-Trubo.

Ford should make this more of a performance oriented model. Drop the profile a bit. Add a sport suspension and better brakes. For godsakes, cut the freakin' weight!!! From the looks of it, all you're getting is a different engine and some minor appearance upgrades. Customers would just be getting a "faster/heavier kind of suck".

By the time all of the options are factored in, this car will be in BMW 535/550, Mercedes E550, and Audi S4 territory. And I just can't see any advantage to buying it over the competition if it's not producing similar performance figures.
