New X3 Coming This Fall

New X3 Coming This Fall
X3, will be officially unveiled in December. In a recent interview, Jim O’Donnell, CEO of BMW North America mentioned that the current generation production has been shortened to allow the introduction of the new model early next year.  The next BMW X3 will shortly follow the new BMW X1 which will be released at the end of this year and it will represent BMW’s entry level vehicle in the SAV market.

The 2010 BMW X3 will have a roof line slightly lower than the current model and will follow the X5’s steps by getting more round corners and a sportier look. The second generation X3 will be a more dynamic performance oriented Sports Activity Vehicle and it will have larger dimensions than the current model.  It will measure 4.65 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and 1.68 meter tall, offering a more spacious cabin and cargo space than the current generation.

This BMW doesn't look like a pansy SUV like the Infiniti and Acura.

Our guess is the actual first public showing in the USA is Detroit 2010.

Fall intro in Europe, then USA after is the usual move.

I'm curious to see how much the price is going to drop now that it will be made in the U.S.

I'm waiting for the X1.783. I'm sure it will be very different from any of the others.

Those unimaginative morons at Hyunday need to stop copying BMW for one thing.

"Wow, if it weren't for the ultimate handling, super luxurious ultra exclusive front, it actually looks a lot like a Hyundai until the end of the side windows, then it goes all Murano"

wow, if it weren't for the fact this is just an artists rendering and not a real car, your comments might actually make sense...

It's okay huu. I guess the news about chrysler going bankrupt must hurt, but you'll get over it eventually.

Well, good luck trying to afford that Accent inspired BMW, because something tells me you'll never be able to sit in one, yet alone afford one ;)
