Toyota/Subaru 086A sports car still in the works but on a lowered level

There have been talks going around recently of a sports coupe that is being developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru dubbed ‘Toyobaru.’ Reports say that the said vehicle is still being developed although on a lowered level.

With the penchant for motorsports by Toyota’s new CEO, Akio Toyoda, come the drive to launch a two-door coupe soon. Although the economic climate is not totally favorable, some reduction in costs and a lower priority ranking have permitted the continuation of the car’s development. The sports coupe still has hope and the carmaker is just waiting for more favorable economic condition to release the car.

Toyota needs a sports coupe badly. Regardless of Hybrid issues or not.
This would be better with Hybrid. Just get the car out already.

It would be nice to revitalize the Initial D craze. The GT-R attracted many Playstation generation I don't see why an AE86 can't do the same. Mind you it's a different class but that's not my point.
