Video: BMW 130i Hatchback tii model
The 1 Series Coupe tii replicas have been around for months now, but for the first time, we have the opportunity to see a tii version of the 130i hatchback as well. Sporting the same performance parts as the coupe version, the hatchback model is just as good looking.

But what makes this video so special are the video producing skills shown by the guys at Format76.net. So let’s see if you agree with us.

I hope it catches on because the 318i hatchback in the mid 90's was a flop.

For years the Germans have resisted sending hatchbacks to the USA claiming that Americans don't like hatches and they don't sell well. This car is typical of their misunderstanding of the true problem. Americans have never hated hatches. What we hate are ugly cars. The original Datsun Z was a hatchback. They set records selling them. People will buy hatches if they are not ugly like this BMW. This whole thing reminds me of the mid 80s when Ford introduced a two seat car based on an escort platform called an EXP. They were so ugly Ford couldn't give them away. Fords response was to say the market for two seaters was soft. It was shortly after that Mazda introduced the Miata. Sold a kzillion of the little two seaters. BMW will have troble selling their hatch and again conclude that americans don't like hatches.
