Report: Honda to bring Fit Hybrid in autumn 2010
The 2010 Honda Insight is the first of four gasoline-electric hybrids Honda has planned to bring to the roads by 2012. Early next year, Honda will unveil the production version of the much-anticipated CR-Z sports hybrid. That will be followed by a hybrid version of the Fit and the next-generation Civic Hybrid.

According to Japan’s Nikkei business daily, the Honda Fit subcompact hybrid will arrive in the autumn of 2010 followed by the next Civic Hybrid.

The development of smaller, cheaper hybrids will continue to intensify.

people forget the Fit was originally offered here as honda's entry in the 'super econocar' wars when gas hit $4 a gallon. it since gained acclaim just on the virtue of it's basic goodness as a subcompact.

making a hybrid version, with EVEN BETTER mileage, is a no-brainer. especially as we see gas prices creeping up again.
