The 'Phaetal' mistake from VW is outta here!

As I was saying, great car, wrong badge.

I can see in years to come, the Phaeton being looked at as the 'forgotten VW', the Volkswagen that took on Mercedes and the like, but flopped.

It may even become a collectors item, it may have a VW badge, but it is a fine piece of engineering achievement.

Have you ever seen the boot struts on a phaeton? They consist of finely engineered chrome struts (I think three on each side) with a very precise mechanical movement.

This attention to detail is found throughout the car, but people were put off the fact that it shared a badge with the Golf.

It was also not the sportiest car to drive, but it was hugely refined, almost a German Lexus.

Please,stop those stupid jokes about Phaeton and VW overall.I got mine 1 year ago and very proud to be one of few owners .Even in such a place as L.A. I like to see how people turning their heads to see my car.And it is really a pleasure to drive it and be as a passenger in it.I drove Lexus LS many times and it`s note even close to my VW .The dealer service is a once a year experience and it is secondary for me compared to everyday driving experience.And Phaeton is real engineering masterpiece.
