I think it looks a thousand times better than the crap they are selling now. I have driven both 745's and 750's. The only thing I do like is the power. Otherwise it sucks. Yes I still despise I drive.

re Ken's "I think the I-Drive is breakthrough technology, and I think the people who bitch and complain about it are either old people who can't even work computers, let alone work I-Drive."
I am a 40-something information systems specialist of twenty year, whose forte is MMI and user interface design. It is common knowledge amongst people in my field that iDrive is a "good concept," but with a "poor implementation." Even BMW has been trying to savage it since it first appeared in 2002m with multiple iterations. Today, the best thing that can be said for iDrive is that is sucks less than Version 1.0. That, and it's an option in the 3 series.
Oh, about that 2007 7-series: At least it's not hideous, like the current 7.

What happened to the stately appearance of the past flagship models. I much preferred the older BMW exteriors. The generation before this 7 series looked the best. If only they simply stuck to their roots and grew from there as opposed to changing their entire philosophy of design and making all these weird pointed "flame" surfacing designs or whatever Chris Mangle calls it.

And its front-end is reminiscent of a Pontiac Torrent!!! AGHHH!!! All because of the new "roundedness" of the current BMW designs. Keep the bluntish front end on the flagship 7 and this would never even be comming out of my mouth!
