Audi R8 electric concept coming to the Frankfurt Motor Show

In a recent interview, Rupert Stadler, Audi’s boss, confirmed the presence of the Audi R8 Roadster at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, which will come in two versions, powered by the 4.2-liter V8 engine but also by the 5.2-liter V10 powerplant. OK, now here is the surprise: due to the high success of the Tesla Roadster, the German manufacturer will also come with an electric version of the R8 at Frankfurt which means that Audi is preparing to have the same success in Europe that Tesla has in U.S.!

Well at least this one will get better fuel economy then a srt8 charger. :P way to milk your customers audi, must be learning a lot from porsche!

Electric?

Knowing Audi, I would expect a diesel (which they already did) variant produced first.
