Maybe, just maybe if Koenigsegg can turn Saab around they can bring some tenacity into the brand.

I just hope whoever the new owner is they fire EVERYBODY at the design studio, and EVERYBODY at the engineering studio. They keep trying to sell this idea that their interiors are designed like aircraft where everything falls to the hand. Rubbish. And they seem to feel that a turbocharged 2.8L V6 is class-leading with 280hp. Morons.

Bring Saab home Koenigsegg. I think the Saab 9-3 is an attractive car. I just wish they would get away from GM. Koenigsegg would definitely bring back some prestige to this deserving brand. GM ruined them, and Volvo I think.

Volvo is owned by Ford. But Ford seems to be playing things pretty off handed with them. In fact the D3 chassis, Taurus/Flex et al, is a modified version of the last gen Volvo S80 chassis. Likewise the current C30 and S40 variants are on an upgraded version of the European Focus C1 chassis.

GM was trying to copy Ford's success with Volvo but instead they simply dragged SAAB closer to the drain than they already were.

Hopefully Saab will return to its quirkier roots, I love those 900s Turbo Hatches with the tri-spoke wheels
