Upcoming Bentley Arnage to debut at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

The Arnage flagship of Bentley ceased production recently, but the carmaker has in mind a future super Arnage, which will be bigger, faster and a lot more luxurious than the retired variant, and which will begin production in the latter part of 2010.

The next generation Arnage is speculated to be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this August. Although the present model of Arnage is being left behind in the competition against rival Rolls-Royce Phantom and Maybach saloons in terms of updates, the new variant is undergoing testing in Crewe, England outside the company’s main offices. Bentley is planning a break of almost an entire year beginning this September before starting the next generation, up-market Arnage’s production, and this in spite of the head-start of the competition.

But Maybach is behind when it comes to pretige as the brand has been absent for so long and also unlike RR and Bentley shares and looks a lot like cheaper siblings like S class. That maybe the reason for the poor sales and horrible resale value of Maybach.

ever thought about it's high price and it's exclusivity? the rr shares parts with bmw yet you say it's more prestige? and bentley's probably share vw / audi platforms...SO WHAT???

Maybach is very prestige, otherwise celebrities or ceo's wouldn't be buying them. sales aren't as much as rr and bentley but doesn't mean they lack prestige. ur thoughts are diluted by all the hatred on this site.

we all know that lexus ls is the most prestige out of this group. even clarkson said the ls is in the same level as a bentley. best believe that fools.
