Ferrari F450

Ferrari F450
Feast your eyes on Ferrari's all-new F430 replacement! Spied being rolled onto the back of a truck in Italy, these are the first pictures of the Prancing Horse's new entry-level model – the F450.

As you can see, the new model looks very different to the current car with a pair of sweeping side air vents, which have been enlarged to cool the improved engine and brakes.

In a bid to compete with the Lamborghini Gallardo, the new car will get a larger 4.5-litre V8 engine – hence the name – putting out around 500bhp thanks to modified mechanicals including a higher rev limit.

It will also get a new gearbox too, in the shape of the California’s seven-speed double clutch unit. This is likely to modified to suit the mid-engined car’s sportier demeanour.

The F450 may even be the first car to incorporate KERS. Used on Formula One racers, the kinetic energy recovery system turns energy saved from braking into extra power.

Autospies, you are so way behind. This picture was released about 2 months ago. Get with the program and stop posting old news.

this is probably the best looking Ferrari has made lately...
others look good, but not classy enough.
but not this one.

Looks great except for the obligatory me-too crease across the rear quarters. Hey, it's a Ferrari! No origami crap needed in the sheet metal.

I never fail to laugh when they use the phrase..."entry-level Ferrari."

Like it's the Ferrari for the budget-conscious.

looks like this is the path lots of performance cars are taking, this "organic", free flowing car, rather than the sharper angular cuts.

I must say I like it, though the angles do not really seem very classic ferrari-esque. It doesn't seem like it will be a "classic" ferrari in the future, but in any case, i like it...

well its a hell of a lot better then the 599 or 699, not sure if I would consider it an upgrade from a f430 though...

nice that's very nice curves made by Ferrari on this New F430 kind of luxury sports car but I still think the old F430 looks better though

It is a Photoshop but based on a grainy, real image: better than 90% accurate.

I guess i'm in the minority as well, I prefer the looks of the 360 and 430 to this car. I would have released this as an all new model.

I disliked the styling of the 360 and 430 completely. The F355 was a much prettier car. With the 360 and 430 Ferrari seemed more interested in what I would call "racing technology styling" then Pininfarina beauty. Both those cars were in a word "ugly" when you compare them to the 246,308/328 etc.The F450 seems to be shifting back to a return to it's styling heritage. Racing is vital to a sports cars development but the car still needs to look good. The Ferrari Enzo was incredibly "Ugly".

sold out during first unveiling confirmed...I mean how can it not? all the rest of them have a waiting list of a couple of years.

oh Ferrari you've done it again

Will have to see it in person. From the pic though, prefer the outrageous style of 80's-90's Testarossa and F-40 as the best. Also prefer 328/348/355 over this (from the pic anyway).

Hyundaismoke-I see your point. But then what do you think sells car magazines?-A photo of a Smart Car or a photo of a Pagini Zonda. A lot of those same people are on this sight. So you have to say "Penis Extension" cars work. The bring both readers and conversation.

Put those hcd cars back in the history books! they weren't the first cars to have swoopy lines, so to say this f450 is directly copying them is just a means to an argument. If anything this f450 looks more like the old Dino then it does those Hyundais.
