New Rendering: 2011 BMW 5 Series Wagon - We like it!
Courtesy of James from Germancarzone, we have a new rendering of the upcoming 2011 BMW 5 Series Wagon.Developed under the F11 internal codename, the new 5er Wagon will be launched in the first half of 2010, with the official unveiling taking place at the Geneva Motor Show.

After seeing the latest and more revealing spy photos, we started to love even more the new design lines. In our opinion, James pretty much nailed the overall design lines and dimensions and we have many reasons to believe that the final version will not look far from this rendering.

The new F11 5 Series Wagon has a longer wheelbase and a wider track than the current generation 5er, offering more interior room and also cargo space.

of course you do, it's a BMW!
Frankly I am a little weary and annoyed by the amount of BMW posts on this site and this is coming from a BMW fanboy. Yes I know, wherever there is automotive news you will be sure to report and it so happens BMW is always giving you something to talk about. But it does get a little annoying. Anyway back to this post, I'm sure this car will look nice when it comes out, but i can't understand what the 5 GT accomplishes that this one doesn't! Oh, I get it, this 5 wagon is the just in case people don't want the ugly car, they'll get this one. As a BMW fanboy of 15 years (I'm only 24) i can't appreciate some of their styling and product decisions as of late, but perhaps thats just me. The new 7 is nice, but thats all it is, it already looks old, the new A8 should be something to look at and drive when it comes out, the current S Class is still King of this Hill in my opinion, anyway let the venting start...Good morning all

Now this I like!! I wouldn't even look at a 5 Series GT but I can't wait to drive this. Is it coming to the states? Twin-turbo V8 estate with the new interior from the GT and a guarantee that you won't see yourself coming every 5 miles! I promised myself no more Bimmers for a while, but I think i'm in love.........

if it really looked like this they might as well not put out the other POS (5 series GT). this wagon look good in my opinion, let's just hope it looks like this in person. nice photoshop though.

I have always figured that anyone who wanted a 5-series with more space than a sedan bought an X5. And with several hundred thousand X5's already on the road, how many true station wagon hold-outs can there be left? 10? 20?

BMW is going WAY too far with this model proliferation thing and its going to hurt them.

The styliong of BMW 10 years ago is where Audi is now. So BMW has to take drastic steps to up the ante. The design of the vehicle in the picture is very aggressive.
