Fiat 500 to arrive in USA by late 2010

We knew that the Fiat 500 would be coming to the good ole USA but were not sure when this car would actually grace us with it's Italian style and small car driving fun.

Now there are reports that the Fiat 500 is just 18 months away until you can put one in your driveway. To be more exact the 500 could be a 2010 Christmas present for that loved one in your family. Just finish it in Red with a nice white leather interior and you have one sweet little Fiat.

Oh joy, I'm so excited. All that Fiat has to offer and this is the ONE they are sending over? Nonsense.

For real. The only place this car might work is in major U.S. cities. But we all know the majority of people in those cities don't give a crap about small cars.

And in major U.S. cities:
-The Average Posers rock BMW 325s and Mercedes V6s.
-The Rich Posers rock gaudy, blinged-out and limo tinted Luxury Vehicles.
-The Rich Idiots drive domesticated racecars that get 10mpgs, and end up on COPS or become Darwin Award Nominees weeks after their purchase.
-The Scum roll around in any crappy 4 door sedan, with 22"s and systems so they can accommodate their gang members and pretend they're in rap music videos.
-The Elite are chauffeured(not in a compact car).
-The Average Citizen walks and rides public transit or owns a 4 door vehicle for routine tasks and out-of-town trips.

The only need this car might satisfy is better fuel economy. But why buy this when we already have loads of compact car options that get good mpgs.

Eh....NO.

Fiat build quality is decent. Their electrical reliability is a little problematic but from what I hear the 500 is a solid and reliable car.

I'm soooo looking forward for this vehicle to hit our shores. The sooner it becomes obvious how crappy Fiats really are, the better. Maybe driving one of those will help some wake up from their Mesiah-induced coma.

So what attractive car does GM offer in its platform sharing lineup?
