No not at all 5ish or pontiac look.

But yeah i must say that high end cars of TOYOTA has came very near to the Lexus terriotry.IN styling,engines,performances,quality meterials...etc

BUT i know why TOYOTA is doing it as they want to increase the level of TOYOTA and LEXUS.
They want Toyota to compete directly with any Manufacture like VW,Audis,MB,BMWs,Peugeots...etc
AND they want LEXUS to be a real full size Luxury,sports...etc car to compete with any high end cars of any MANUFACTURE.

Coming Back to this 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY:

It's a beutiful car and also will get some good engines and interiors as that of the looks and stylings

BUT It's almost looking like an ES and Avalon.
But i am sure it will be a big hit and seller like every CAMRY.

THIS means that IF TOYOTA Cars are approching near to Lexus then LExUS will approch near every high end car around.

MAYBE u guys understood the trend.

AND PLZ guys i know much mooooooooooooooore than anybody about TOYOTA/LEXUS.

AND THEY R THE LEADERS/WINNERS/CONQUERERS OF THE AUTO WORLD.

More excuses for Toyota's bland designs.

But sure, if Toyota was to bring out the Camry as a sleek, nice looking car, they may risk turning away their conservative customer base.

Hell, they were even worried the current Corolla was to radical....

I can accept this safe and uninspiring design as pure strategy, for it makes perfect financial sense.

However, that will stop enthusiasts and people like me, who get excited by new cars, from buying one. Toyota has never really appealed to enthusiasts, due to their grandma image, boring designs, average dynamics and plasticky interiors.

One wonders why their fan base in the states is so large...
