2010 Vibe is not the last Pontiac, says GM spokesman
In a press statement that lists the 2010 model lineup for General Motors, the Pontiac brand has only the Vibe mentioned even though Pontiac will be shelved at the end of next year.

It looks like the four-door hatch, which was produced in tandem with Toyota, is the last product under the Pontiac badge. But a GM spokesman has confirmed that this is not the case, but only a guarantee that the 2010 Vibe will hit the markets. The fact is other 2010 models have been getting off the assembly lines from GM’s facilities in Fremont, California for almost a month now, but the company has not yet fixed production schedules for the other models in the Pontiac range. However, the 2010 models should be coming out of production this summer to give the carmaker time to decide if the model is to be continued or not. There could still be a possibility of a 2010 G3, G5, or G8 contingent on the production schedule. Both the G3 and G5 are already on the order guide of GM, making both tough contenders for production.

There's no reason to buy a Vibe since the Matrix is the same car but holds its value 20% better

Unless you don't have the cash for a Matrix or are looking for a cheaper used car that has the same appointments. I own a 05 Matrix XR AWD. I bought it over the Vibe because it had better looks. The interiors are identical and the engine and drivetrains are the same as well. The only difference being sheetmetal and a few components. But if I was to buy one today I would get the Vibe over the new Matrix. The Matrix has that squashed, flowing cloth down the sides look that I cannot stand. The grille is almost non-existent, and the XRS version only has 184hp. Its the reason I did not upgrade as 4 more hp over a car that had 180 when it was introduced in 2003 is pathetic. They should have offered a TRD version as well as a GXP that had the Eco-Tec or even the Rav 4 276hp V6 shoe-horned in there for a good performance model to compete with the Mazdaspeed 3. Keep the AWD system as well and you got a nice Subaru competitor with a cheaper price tag.
