Mazda doesn't want to compete with Toyota Prius, Honda Insight
Earlier this year, Mazda said that it will introduce hybrids and electric-cars into its lineup to meet its goal to improve its fleet fuel-economy by 30 percent by 2015. Unlike Honda and Toyota, Mazda will off hybrid technology on its existing model, not standalone hybrids.

“It’s going to be the 20-teens that we’re going to be actually engineering all this,” Executive Vice President Philip Spender said.

Good for them, Hybrids are annoying and so is Obama.

Now if they could just get an AWD system into the 3 hatchback or even Mazdaspeed3, I would be a serious looker.

Both. They're probably waiting which future technology will be the standard bearer. Remember the Blueray and other format? (I can't even remember the name of the other format. I think it was S-DVD or something.

These kids couldn't make anything good or revolutionary, If they did they would be stopped, and there is nothing revolutionary with the Prius or Insight, Hybrid Teck now makes these care look like model T's, sadly.Come on Mazda, do something!
