Kia Now Moving into Youth Market, Aims to Knock-out Scion
The Forte is due out now, and marks the second step in Kia's effort to change its image. (The first was the Soul hatchback.) The Soul, Forte, and Hyundai Genesis mark a different direction in company thinking: rather thank take risks with fresh designs, duplicate existing cars and undercut them in pricing. Kia intends to shift into Scion territory and offer sport packages for the future.

Copying exterior designs is a lot better than having 4 or more of the same car with a different badge.

I would purchase Kia before Scion. Look, I can see a BMW 1 series customer moving up to the 3 and then 5 Series but to see a Scion kid moving to what a Camry or Avalon? That is why Toyota developed Scion, but most kids will run to Mazda or Nissan for style.
