After that I'll share my thoughts about what psychological factors play the key role in women appeal to cars. Another hint - two persons in this thread already hit the nail on the head.

MrBratwurst, I think you missed the target a bit. The question wasn't which vehicle women prefer, it was which vehicle do girls prefer guys driving. Your answer would be comparable to saying that girls must love guys who wear sexy bras because they feel sexy when they wear them.

the testosterone poisoned on this site cannot fathom the idea, but most women (vs. GIRLS) ultimately desire motherhood. hence, a rock solid reliable van would score high amongst them. the flashier, sporty and the "cute" cars may appeal to the little girls and partyng type; more mature women look for practicality.

Anything with a Ferrari, BMW, Lexus or Mercedes logo
is a draw to single women. I don't think there are many that distinguish models, but they do understand that these are expensive vehicles, relatively speaking.

And while a little y might try to use a Porsche as a substitute, for a capital Y there is no substitute for a Porsche.

For 25-30 year old women:

For 35-50 year old women:

1. Mercedes S-Class
2. Porsche Cayenne
3. BMW 7 Series

Theno once I got married I bought a 1970 Hemicuda and a 1968 R/T Charger. Thats how I kept her. The wisdom here is start off small and once you get her then get out the big guns. That way in the beginning they didnt expect much. Kept the 1970 Challenger buy the way. And love my wife dearly.

in my neck of the woods, the overwhelming vehicle of choice for younger women is the toyota RAV4, with the Matrix a close second.

with older women, it's a Subaru wagon or sedan; all other choices are a DISTANT 2d, 3d, whatever.

(this IS alaska, and we do have winters.)

i also notice here, that most Jeeps are owned/driven by women, not men. i even know a couple. (one got tired of the repair bills, and upgraded to a subaru wagon! the other has a hubby able to fix whatever breaks.)

some gal even had a bumper sticker: "Silly boys. Jeep is for girls!"

i've also noted that there are more women here driving pickups than most places outside of cowboy country. ditto women driving motorcycles!
